The tension in the Knesset continued Wednesday in the wake of the terrorist prisoner release. Member of Knesset Yitzhak Cohen (Shas) slammed the members of the Bayit Yehudi party who walked out in protest of MK Amram Mitzna's (Hatenua) sharp comments. The Bayit Yehudi MKs said MK Mitzna was out of line for drawing parallels between they and the Yitzhak Rabin assassination.
However MK Cohen criticized their protest stating, "the release of terrorists is because of you, and [the Disengagement from] Gush Katif was also because of you." He added that they were acting petty.
Bayit Yehudi officials denied they helped permit the terrorist release, allaying accusations they chose it as the lesser of the two evils in comparison to a construction freeze in Judea and Samaria,
