U.S. President Barak Obama has ordered the National Security Agency (NSA) to desist it's eavesdropping activities at the U.N. headquarters, according to a senior U.S. official in a conversation with the Reuters news agency.
The source said that the decision had been arrived at in recent weeks. Obama aides were quoted as saying, "The White House is not interested in tracking every issue of U.N. interests."
The senor official's response was "The U.S. is not conducting electronic surveillance at the U.N.", but neglected to address if this had been undertaken in the past.
