Chairman Eli Ben Shem of the Yad Lebanim association of relatives of fallen soldiers and other security forces expressed shock, Tuesday morning, at the placing of signs over soldiers' graves at Mount Herzl in protest of Tuesday evening's scheduled release of 26 security prisoners. The signs, "signed" by the government, read "Sorry we forgot-From our standpoint, your deaths were in vain."
Interviewed by Israel Defense Forces Radio, Ben Shem said, "This is crossing a red line. This is desecration of graves. I intend to file a complaint with the police commissioner, demanding to prosecute those responsible."
