Signs bearing the inscription "Sorry we forgot: From our point of view, your deaths were in vain" were placed over graves in the Mount Herzl military cemetery, Monday evening, in protest of Tuesday evening's scheduled release of 26 security prisoners. It was signed, "the government of Israel".
"Sorry we forgot" is the name of a Facebook group that has emerged recently, receiving hundreds of responses for action against the release. It relates to the perceived attitude of the government to the victims of the prisoners who are up for release. The release is the second in a series as part of a gesture to the Palestinian Authority for renewing peace talks with Israel.
