Habayit Hayehudi (Jewish Home-New National Religious Party) expressed sorrow, Tuesday morning, at the passing of Chairman Shai Tuval of the Keren Kehilot community fund, which backs Torah core groups around the country. In a statement, the party called Tuval, "A noble man, a man of integrity, who established core groups all over the country and devoted his life to Israel in a spirited way." Jewish Home Member of Knesset Uri Ariel remembered Tuval as one who "knew how to take a small activity at its beginning and [turn it into] one of the most important social and educational activities in the state of Israel."
Nachi Eyal, the chief executive officer of the Jewish Home and National Union, said that Tuval "loved people [and was] caring [and a man] of values." Eyal said that through Keren Kehilot, Tuval "contributed a lot to the Jewish and Zionist identity of Israeli society."
