Last week, Palestinian Authority Minister of Culture Anwar Abu Eisheh and PA District Governor of Ramallah Laila Ghannam awarded a special plaque to Egyptian poet Hesham El-Gakh honoring him for his incitement-urging poem that contains the words, "Our enemy, Zion, is Satan with a Tail", as reported by the Palestinian Media Watch organization. The award-winning recitation was broadcast over PA television.
The poem describes what Arab children are taught by their leaders, but then goes on to criticize them for not acting on their teachings. One of the teachings - "My enemy, Zion, is Satan with a tail" is stated in the poem. But the poem then goes on to criticize the Arab world for its lack of unity, which prevents it from attaining its goals.
