After weeks of fierce fighting, opponents of Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad finished taking control, Sunday, of the city of Tafas in the Daraa district near the Israeli border. Other successes brought areas along the Jordanian border under their control.
The rebels posted a video in which they claimed to have seized an Israeli spy device that the Damascus government was using for eavesdropping. The device had a label from the Israel Meteorological service with a note in Hebrew reading, "This device was flown on a balloon and used for meteorological measurements at a [high] altitude. One who finds it is asked to send it to the Meteorological Institute in Beit Dagan or to the nearest police station."
