Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange posted modest gains, Sunday, to start the trading week. The TA Comp[osite Index closed at 1,174.98, up .53 percent, while the TA 100 rose .52 percent to 1,171.12, including an advance of .54 percent to 1,293.32 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,073.36, up .53 percent.
Leading the gainers was the communications index, which climbed 1.17 percent to 763.82, followed by the real-estate issues, which stood at 370.30, up .38 percent, while the oil and natural-gas stocks gained .27 percent to 1,263.25. The financial institutions finished the day at 1,222.26, up .16 percent, the insurance index rising .04 percent to 1,504.78, while the bank issues edged up 1,244.66. The biomed stocks stood at 1,030.96, down .09 percent; the same percentage loss meaning a closing post of 334.84 for the rest of the technology index.
