Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu, addressing the topic of the negotiations between world powers and Iran on the topic of their nuclear program, emphasized the need to keep up the pressure.
“Last week another round of talks opened up between the world powers and Iran. It must not be forgotten that the Iranian regime has consistently and systematically lied to the global community. In 2006 the Iranians had 167 centrifuges. Today, despite prohibitions and their promises, there are more than 18,000 centrifuges. In other words, they have increased more than 100-fold their enriched uranium capabilities even while being sanctioned and undergoing talks – and they continue to do so,” the Prime Minister said.
At the opening of this week’s Cabinet meeting, Netanyahu added, “And I think that until the time we their words converted into action, international pressures and sanctions must be kept up.”
