Shekel, US Dollar, Yen Down; Pound, Euro Up

The official value of the shekel declined an average of an eighth of a percent, Friday, in mixed trading against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.533, down .057 from Thursday's rate, while the Euro rose .197 percent to 4.8325 shekels.

The pound sterling was set at 5.7164 shekels, up .579 percent, while 100 Japanese yen slipped .078 percent to NIS 3.6083. The Australian dollar advanced .259 percent to NIS 3.4083, while its Canadian counterpart was fixed at 3.434 shekels, down .07 percent, and the South African rand fell .333 percent to NIS .359
