Most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week, Thursday, with modest losses. The TA Composite Index closed at 1,175.61, down .35 percent from Wednesday's close, while the TA 100 declined .44 percent to 1.171.56, including a drop of .79 percent to 1,296.65 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,078.72, up 1.02 percent.
Leading the gainers was the biomed index, which jumped 2.35 percent to 1,091.89, while the rest of the technology issues stood at 330.77, down .46 percent. The insurance stocks rose .81 percent to 1,494.13 as the financial institutions finished the day at 1,216.55, down .62 percent, reflecting a loss of 1.33 percent to 1,240.62 by the bank index. The real-estate issues slipped .02 percent to 367.56 and the communications stocks stood at 806.86, down .03 percent, while the oil and natural-gas index fell a tenth of a percent to 1,220.23.
