Eini Hopes to Team with Lapid to Stop Teva Layoffs

Chairman Ophir Eini of the Histadrut Labor Federation said, Tuesday morning, "Finance Minister [Yair] Lapid sees eye-to-eye with me regarding the layoffs at Teva." Referring to the announcement by the generic-drug giant's plans to include 800 Israel-based employees in a worldwide staff cut of 5,000, he told reporters, "I hope that together we can succeed in cancelling the evil decree."

Eini added, "Teva is a successful company which has earned quite a few billions."
