Jewish Guns N' Roses Guitarist to Play Israeli Festival

The ProgStage Festival, now in it's third year, will featuring Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal who since 2006 has been the guitarist for the seminal American rock band Guns N' Roses. Born Ronald Blumenthal, he previously performed with Guns N' Roses last year in Tel Aviv. He has released 11 solo CDs. His Israeli performance will include a special masters class.

The ProgStage festival will feature a variety of Israeli and foreign progressive rock and metal acts. It will take place October 10th - October 12th at Dugal Beach on the shores of the Sea of Galilee.

This year's festival will feature Circus Maximus from Norway, Haken from the United Kingdom, and several Israeli bands including Behind The Sun, Eatliz, Yossi Sassi of Orphaned Land, Key of The Moment, Desert, Distorted Harmony, No Reflection and others.

Last years's festival included Pain of Salvation from Sweden and France, The Flower Kings from Sweden, Andromeda from Sweden, Osada Da Vida from Poland and numerous Israeli acts. For Arutz Sheva coverage of last year's festival click here.
