Jerusalem police will close the route of Rabbi Ovadia Yoseph's funeral procession and neighboring streets starting at 3:00 p.m. The funeral is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. at the Porat Yosef yeshiva in the Ge'ula neighborhood and make its way to the Sanhedria cemetery. The streets to be closed are Bar-Ilan, Eshkol Boulevard, Golda Meir, Malchei Yisrael, Shamgar, Shmuel Hanavi, Hehezkel and Yirmiyahu. The public is asked to stay away from the area in private vehicles.
Congestion will result on Highways 1 and 443, which lead into the capital, with backup possible onto routes 4,5,6 and 444.
