Monday morning trading at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange opened with modest losses. About 45 minutes into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 1,153.81, down .48 percent, while the same percentage decline meant a posting of 1,147.54 for the TA 100, including a drop of .54 percent to 1,268.38 for the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 also fell .48 percent, standing at 1,096.47.
Worst hit was most of the technology index, which dropped seven tenths of a percent to 331.93, while the biomed issues stood at 1,022.55, down .49 percent. The bank stocks declined .51 percent to 1,221.35 as the financial institutions stood at 1,194.47, down .41 percent, including a loss of .27 percent to 1,462.19 by the insurance index. The communications issues slumped three tenths of a percent to 763.49 and the real-estate stocks stood at 363.50, down .29 percent, while the oil and natural-gas index declined .24 percent to 1,271.55.
