Yoram Ettinger doesn't think sanctions alone against the Iranian government will prevent the development of nuclear weapons. Ettinger worked as Minister for Congressional Affairs to Israel's Embassy in Washington, DC and also served as Consul General of Israel to the Southwestern United States. He told Arutz Sheva news on Wednesday, "a leopard does not change its spots. For twenty years Iran has been racing toward nuclear capability. Any solution outside a military solution means giving them more time to develop nuclear weapons," Ettinger warned. He added that despite the sanctions, "The Russians, the Chinese and the Japanese do not cooperate with the sanctions. See what happened in North Korea. There were about fifty years of sanctions and yet they continued to develop nuclear capability," Ettinger stated.
