Arieh King, well known for his Israel Land Fund, will address English speakers as part of his campaign for Jerusalem city council. King is a resident of the Maale Hazeitim neighborhood near the Mount of Olives and has been in the forefront of advocating for Jewish residents in historically Jewish neighborhoods that in modern times have a predominately Arab population. His Outlying Neighborhoods Slate has united with United Jerusalem (Yerushalayim Meuhedet) for the municipal elections. The new party is led by Shmuel Shkedi, a former deputy mayor. They will speak Sunday, October 6th at 8:00 pm at the Orthodox Union Israel Center as part of the OU Center's series. The center has also featured Mayor Nir Barkat, Moshe Leon and others. It is located at 22 Keren Hayesod street in Jerusalem.
