Today (Tuesday) President Shimon Peres started his third day on his official visit to the Netherlands in a State visit at the Noordeinde Royal Palace, situated in The Hague.
In a press conference, Peres said, "Europe, just like Israel, understands that the sole solution to the Israel-Palestinian Authority conflict will only be solved through negotiations, rather than sanctions. The day after the sanctions were announced, U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry announced the resumption of talks for a period of nine months. Should an agreement be reached, the sanctions will be irrelevant. I am sure that Europe does not intend to make the negotiations between Israel and the Palestinian Authority even more difficult, but if these sanctions are put into action, it will indubitably lead to that."
