Defense Minister Moshe (“Boogie”) Yaalon spoke today (Tuesday) at Ben Gurion University about the operation “IDF Moves to the Negev” (the IDF’s Communication Corp’s move from central Israel to a Beer Sheva complex).
According to Yaalon, “the ability to connect these high-tech centers with academic and other knowledge bases will convert Beer Sheva into our national cyber-capital, which is our intention. Entering the private sector will be a natural outcome of the maneuver, as well.”
“Moving the IDF bases to the Negev is a victory in every way. The IDF will get security infrastructure, logistics and new technologies which will keep it a jump ahead for generations,” Yaalon concluded.
