Honenu Slams Lack of Sensitivity in Yitzhar Arrests

The Honenu legal-aid organization criticized the police, Tuesday, for the way they arrested three suspects in an attack, last week, on officers who came to arrest Boaz Albert.

A statement by Honenu said, "The police could simply send an officer and arrest them, if needed, without resistance during the middle of the day, but preferred to conduct a wide-ranging and degrading operation in the middle of the night. There is nothing more humiliating than to be arrested in such a manner in the middle of the night, in front of your children. The suspects are still in shock from the way they were arrested. We call on the Israeli police to learn from the case and act now with more sensitivity toward the detainees."
