Rav Ovadia Yosef's daughter, Rebbetzin Adina Bar Shalom spoke this morning in a radio interview with Kol B'Rama and asked the public to continue with prayers for her father that the slight improvement he has shown will truly lead to his complete return to consciousness. She said that her father had opened his eyes, and pressed her hand.
The Rebbetzin said, "We go there every day...all of us...all of his brothers and sisters. We want to see him the moment he wakes up. We don't want to lose out on one moment. As of now, things seem to be developing on a positive note. His condition is slowly improving and we need to continue to pray up unto the Seventh Heaven (the highest level of the Heavens) and tell G-d that we still need him down here - amongst his people. A man like him comes along but once in a generation."
