Jerusalem Man Identified as Tuesday Drowning Victim

Funeral services were held, Friday afternoon at the Har Hamenuchot cemetery in Jerusalem,  for 40-year-old David Leib Printz of the city's Ramot neighborhood, who drowned, Tuesday, in Lake Kinneret/the Sea of Galilee. His family confirmed identity, Friday morning, at the National Forensics Institute at Abu-Kabir.

Yossi Akunin, head of the Ichud Hatzalah emergency service in Tiberias said youths pulled the victim out of the water at the end of a pontoon bridge and tried to resuscitate him and when Akunin arrived, Printz had a pulse and was breathing, but in the course of the first aid, his condition deteriorated and he lost consciousness. Because of the nature of the pontoon bridge, it was difficult to get advanced treatment measures to the scene and Printz was taken to the beach, where he was pronounced dead after prolonged further efforts at resuscitation.
