Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the northern branch of the Islamic Movement, stated on Tuesday that the Al-Aqsa Mosque will remain a holy site for Muslims only.
In an interview with Al-Quds TV, Salah said that "the Israeli occupation" will not be able to realize its ambitions to split the Al-Aqsa compound between Muslims and Jews. He added that he does not recognize any decisions passed by the Knesset on the issues.
"The Knesset has no right whatsoever to talk about the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and has no right to make decisions related to the Al-Aqsa Mosque. We do not recognize any discussions and decisions by the Knesset because these discussions are in vain,” he claimed.
