The world's largest replica of the biblical Ark of the Covenant (Exodus, Chapter 25) is scheduled to go on display, Tuesday, on a tractor trailer in front of the Supreme Court and the Foreign Ministry in Jerusalem. The structure, made out of wood, stone and gold-colored metal, is more than five meters long, 1.6 meters wide and about three meters tall, and weighs more than 800 kilograms/1,760 pounds.
The ark is the latest project of 52-year-old Christian supporter of Israel Grace Gupana of the Philippines and is expected to join her largest flags for Israel and Jerusalem in the Guinness Book of World Records. It took 12 artists and professional people four months to assemble. The project began a year and a half ago, including shipping the replica to Israel, where it will stay "as a weapon".
