Weather: Scattered Showers in the North and Center


It will be partly cloudy to overcast on Tuesday with a winds up to 40 kilometers/26 miles an hour and a drop in temperature to below average for the season. A high-wave warning is in effect at Mediterranean beaches until 10:00 a.m. There's a chance of isolated thunderstorms over the north and scattered showers over other parts of the north and center of the country, retreating to the north overnight and diminishing before ending by noon on Wednesday. Variable cloudiness is expected Tuesday evening with fog in the mountain areas. It will be partly cloudy on Wednesday with temperatures rising slightly but remaining below average. Fair and slightly warmer weather is forecast for Thursday's Shemini Atzeret holiday, followed by clear to partly cloudy skies and no significant temperature change on Friday.
