The Israeli soldier who was shot in Hevron, Sunday evening, suffered from a bullet to the neck, according to Israeli media. The shooter is believed to be a sniper who operated out of an Arab house.

While authorities set up roadblocks as part of a search for the shooter, they also made sure that visitors to the city's Sukkot (Tabernacles) events were out of harm's way. Visitors to the Me'arat Hamachpelah Cave of the Patriarchs were told to stay there for their safety.
