Jerusalem mayoral candidates, Moshe Lion and Nir Barkat, both attended the Sukkot Priestly Blessing this morning at the Western Wall. The two greeted each other and shook hands.
Lion said, "The people of Israel have come here from all over the country in order to receive the holy Priestly Blessing. There is no better time or place for us to feel the immense power of unity all that permeates the Kotel. We are talking about something that will be engraved into the hearts and souls of everyone in attendnce this morning, elevating it to the status of a pilgrimage. May we all merit to return here, speedily, in our days. Amen."
