The official value of the shekel declined an average of .07 percent, Friday, in mixed trading against the featured currencies on the Bank of Israel's foreign-exchange list. The United States dollar was fixed at NIS 3.504, down .933 percent from Wednesday's rate, while the Euro rose .447 percent to 4.7433 shekels.
The pound sterling was set at 5.6283, down .059 percent, while 100 Japanese yen plunged 1.121 percent to NIS 3.5287. The Australian dollar advanced .036 percent to 3.3127 shekels while its Canadian counterpart was fixed at NIS 3.4122, down .696 percent. The Swedish krona climbed .949 percent to .5533 shekels and the South African rand was set at NIS .3615, up half a percent.
