As the community of Bat Hefer, north of Tel Aviv, prepared for the 11:00 a.m. funeral of Eden and Yahav Gur, thrown by their father from the 11th story of a Tel Aviv building on Wednesday, the police have received five notifications since then, warning of men who threatened to hurt themselves or relatives, according to a Friday-morning report by Israel Defense Forces Radio. One of those reports resulted in an arrest.
An attorney for the mother of the murdered children told Channel 10 Television, "Unfortunately the end was predictable. She complained in recent months and we applied to the courts and social workers." She said a restraining order issued against the father could only prevent him from coming home, adding, "There is technology that can prevent this, such as an electronic restraint. Every time he is within kilometers from the children and the family, it calls the police."
