Palestinian Authority Prisoners Affairs Minister Issa Karaka rejected a claim that Israel may release more terrorist prisoners. On Wednesday, Al-Hayat, an Arabic language news outlet based in London reported that Israel agreed to release 250 more prisoners, specifically those arrested for terrorist attacks before the 1993 Oslo Accords. United States Secretary of State John Kerry has asked Israel and the PA to keep their newly started task secret, however there have been several leaks by the PA to the press.
Israel issued a new gesture to the PA by agreeing to released 104 terrorists, of which 26 were released last month. The second phase of the release is expected to take place in late October.
