MK Calls to Prepare for Huge Sukkot Crowds in Old City

Member of Knesset Uri Maklev (United Torah Judaism) called for Jerusalem police and other officials to ensure smooth and efficient Sukkot preparations. On Tuesday he contacted the Jerusalem District Commander and the Ministry of Transportation "to prepare in advance and avoid the crowding on buses to and from the Western Wall during the intermediate days of Sukkot," MK Maklev said. "I hope that the relevant parties can prepare so passengers on a crowded bus are treated as human beings and not like sardines packed in a can," he said. Huge crowds are expected in the Old City of Jerusalem, specifically the Western Wall, for the pilgrimage festival of Sukkot.
