Former PA Prime Minister: Oslo is Not Dead

Ahmed Qureia (Abu-Alla), who once headed negotiations with Israel for the Palestinian Authority, said, Friday, that the Oslo Accords between Israel and the Palestine Liberation Organization, which created the PA, were not a mistake but a good agreement for the five-year interim period set forth in the accords.

Interviewed by Kol Yisrael government radio to mark the 20th anniversary of the signing of the declaration of principles, Qureia rejected the claim that that "the Oslo agreement is dead," and said the relationship between the two sides is based on it. He said PA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas is capable of signing a peace agreement with Israel and making historical decisions, even those that are not popular.
