The Deputy Minister of Religious Services, Rabbi Eli Ben-Dahan (Bayit Yehudi), spoke on Tuesday evening with hundreds of students studying for conversion, and promised to make the conversion process more friendly.
"Each one of you is going through a complex process that takes many months of ups and downs, but through which you connect to the oldest nation in the world, which has been holding on for thousands of years as other nations who tried to destroy us are gone,” he said. “The difficulties are worth it because the reward will be great, since you will connect to the people of Israel. I promise that the Ministry of Religious Services will stand beside you. We are here to assist you so that you can get a new soul and feel like you are connected with this great nation. We will do everything we can to make this process more friendly, more convenient and for you to be partners in it.”
