About 40,000 people are expected to take part in about 250 Yom Kippur Day of Atonement services for secular Jews to be organized by the Tzohar orthodox rabbinical organization around the country. The figure includes about 70 new services. Among the new services will be one for the Ethiopian community in Gedera and one for Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv. Tzohar volunteers have been requested to go to kibbutzim where Yom Kippur services have not been held in years. A total of 700 volunteers will help organize the services.
