Rabbi David Lau, the Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel, met on Tuesday with special needs children ahead of the holiday of Rosh Hashanah. The meeting was organized by Alei Siach, an organization which provides comprehensive and all-encompassing programs for special-needs individuals of many ages and disabilities.
Rabbi Lau received the special children with a big smile and told them, "If anyone deserves to have a good year, it certainly is these pure and innocent souls. And anyone involved with them and taking care of them will certainly be blessed. I am full of admiration for your activities, for your true devotion. Every time I meet them they have advanced a few steps.”
