The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange recorded modest gains in mixed trading, Monday morning. About half an hour into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 1,092.08, up two tenths of a percent, while the same percentage increase meant a posting of 1,087.41 for the TA 100, including a gain of .21 percent to 1,187.63 by the TA 25 most-widely-invested issues. The stocks outside the TA 100 stood at 1,007.58, up .13 percent.
Leading the gainers was the bank index, which rose .89 percent to 1,143.75 as the financial institutions stood at 1,132.71, up .73 percent, including a slip of .07 percent to 1,373.72 by the insurance issues. Most of the technology stocks advanced an average of .19 percent to 323.19, while the biomed index declined .64 percent to 961.23. The real-estate issues stood at 353.81, up .14 percent, while the communications stocks lost two tenths of a percent to 674.81. The oil and natural-gas index fell .53 percent to 1,195.50.
