Supreme Court President Asher Grunis and Justice Minister Tzipi Livni decided, Friday, that a resident of central Israel, suspected of violence against his children, will return to work as a trial judge in January but not hear criminal cases, including juvenile and family matters. At the time, he will finish hearing cases that started before he was investigated. It was also decided that he will issue rulings next month in cases that were otherwise complete.
The 'violent judge' was not identified more specifically under court order. He was investigated under warning of prosecution in March, following complaints that surfaced at the beginning of the year.
