Benefits Consolidation to Help Holocaust Survivors

Finance Minister Yair Lapid (Yesh Atid), signed regulations on Wednesday regarding disability benefits being applied to Holocaust survivors. Some don't "realize their rights from the state," Lapid said.

He explained that the new moved will "enable survivors to collect full benefits entitled to them, because compensation rates are determined in direct proportion to the degree of disability." A multi-year program is designed to make it easier for Holocaust survivors in utilizing their rights.

Ofra Ross, director of the Holocaust Survivors Rights Authority stated, "I welcome the move of the Minister of Finance that will allow and increase in assistance given to Holocaust survivors."
