      Chief Rabbi Prays at Rachel's Tomb in Bethlehem


      Rabbi David Lau, the Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel paid a special visit to Kever Rachel (Rachel's Tomb) in Bethlehem in the Gush Etzion district on Tuesday. "It fills me with pride and joy to visit," Chief Rabbi Lau stated. Davidi Pearl, the head of the Gush Etzion Regional Council thanked the rabbi and presented him with a book on the history Gush Etzion. For generations, the site has been venerated as the ancient burial place of the Biblical Matriarch Rachel.
