Mother Investigated for Leaving Baby in Car

A one-year-old boy was left in a locked car, Tuesday morning in Ra'anana, northeast of Tel Aviv. It is not known how long he was there before he was removed by two soldiers. His physical state was under examination as this report was written.

The boy's mother apparently forgot him when she went into a nearby store. She was taken to the Kfar Saba police station for questioning. A number of babies have died, this summer, after being left in vehicles during the hot weather. The forecast high for the Tel Aviv area was 30Celsius/86Fahrenheit, with temperatures inside a vehicle climbing higher.
