Dorit Salinger Nominated to Securities Post at Treasury

Dorit Salinger, who spent about 13 years as the chief executive of the Standard and Poor's Maalot Limited securities-rating agency, was nominated by Finance Minister Yair Lapid, Thursday, to oversee the capital market, insurance and savings at the Treasury, replacing Oded Sarig. The nomination is subject to cabinet approval.

In the past two years, Salinger has served as a director and financial consultant for a number of bodies. Ministry CEO Yael Andorn said that Salinger "is a substantial strengthening of the management of the Treasury and brings extensive knowledge and experience in the capital markets and insurance."
