MK Personally Ride Volatile Samaria Bus Line

Member of Knesset Moti Yogev (Jewish Home- National Union) decided to personally investigate complaints of harassment on bus lines in Samaria. MK Yogev, who serves as chairman of the Subcommittee on Foreign and Security Affairs, hopped aboard #86 from Petach Tikva in the coastal district, towards Ariel in the Samaria district. He told Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon (Likud - Yisrael Beiteinu) and Transportation Minister Yisrael Katz (Likud - Yisrael Beiteinu) that he witnessed non-Israeli citizens from the Palestinian Authority crowding onto the bus in large numbers resulting in Israeli residents running out of room. He said , due to lack of space,  the bus was forced to drive passed a bus stop filled with waiting people.

MK Yogev also stated he witnessed instances of sexual harassment by male PA residents of female Israeli passengers. He further related stories of violence and attempted stabbings.

"The solution is probably a significant increase in bus lines for two populations," he wrote in a letter to the Defense Ministry and Transportation Ministry.
