The new immigrants (olim) who arrived here on yesterday’s (Tuesday) Nefesh B’Nefesh flight, say they feel honored to be new Israeli citizens.
In an interview with Arutz7, the olim were asked why they had decided to leave the comfort of their lives in the United States and come to Israel to serve in the IDF. “Well, the State of Israel is our country. We want to be a real of part of this, and doing Army service is the first step in that direction.”
When they took leave of their parents at New York’s JFK Airport, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. “Separation is difficult, but well worth it,” they said.
