Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch has been turned into a comic book character by Shlomi Charka. He is just one of the artists and animators at the 13th Animix Festival. The annual International Animation, Comics and Caricature Festival took place from August 9th - August 13th in Tel Aviv. Charka told Arutz Sheva news that he enjoyed the event and the mix of younger and older participants. His character Lugwig meets famous Jewish historical personalities such as Theodor Herzl and Rabbi Hirsch.
Also featured was Yaakov Kirschen, well known for his Dry Bones comic strip which has appeared in the Jerusalem Post for about 30 years. Kirschen, is now releasing a comic book Haggadah.
