20 Still Jailed Protesting Desecration of Sacred Space

The Jerusalem Magistrates Court extended the detention of twenty individual who were arrested on Monday at a protest. The incident took place in Beit Shemesh at a construction site. The protesters were decrying what they said was a sacred space and the location of an ancient Jewish burial ground. Police dragged the protesters away by their arms and legs. Some protesters were accused of resisting arrest and arson.
