Tension between a religious and secular Israeli flared up on a Jerusalem bus on Thursday. Preliminary reports say that a man described as "secular" struck a man described as "religious" on the bus. Magen David Adom medics treated the man for light injuries, although other reports say he was not injured at all. The suspect fled on foot following the incident.
Some initial reports said the argument erupted when the man identified as "religious" asked a woman to sit in the women's section. The "secular" man was apparently a bystander who overheard the conversation. There is no definitive indication as to the actual content of the conversation at this point in time, nor the names of those involved. It is also not yet reported on which number bus line the incident occurred and what neighborhood in the city it was travelling in at the time of the assault. Arutz Sheva news will follow up on this story when new details are released to the public.
