Today’s (Wednesday) train traffic experienced many disruptions, following a wildcat strike by Israel Railways' engine drivers. Management announced that since last night, 41 drivers have called in sick with a “mysterious illness”.
Between 14:45 to 18:45, only two trains will be operating on the Haifa-Kiryat Motzkin-Akko line instead of the three usually scheduled for that time. A third train cancellation is the 17:00 train from Central Tel Aviv to Modiin.
Management has stated that if sanctions should continue, additional cancellations will have to follow, as well.
