Report: Likud Tells Leon to Lose its Logo from his Ads

The Likud party has told Jerusalem mayoral candidate Moshe Leon to remove the Likud-Beyteinu logo from his campaign advertising, according to a Friday report by the Yisrael Hayom daily. The symbol appears on billboards that went up last week.

Likud Director-General Gadi Ariel explained that the use of the logo was illegal since Leon is not an official candidate of the party. Leon is supported by the Likud's Jerusalem branch and Chairman Avigdor Lieberman of the Yisrael-Beyteinu faction, but not by Prime Minister and party chief Binyamin Netanyahu.
