Polish Official Probed for Preferring Israeli Companies

The Polish prosecutor's office announced, Monday, that it decided recently to open an investigation against Deputy Defense Minister Waldemar Skrzypczak that he acted out of preference for Israeli companies, specifically advanced pilotless aircraft developed by the Refael Weapons Development Authority. Polish intelligence claimed the preference grew out of Skrzypczak's good relations with Refael's Director-General Yedidiah Ye'ari.

Interviewed by the Polish newspaper Rczespospolita, Skrzypczak admitted he was well acquainted with the heads of many Israeli weapons companies but denied the charges.
