NIS 12 Million for 13 Heirs of Holocaust Victim

The Corporation for Location and Restitution of Holocaust Assets announced, Monday, that it has returned about 12 million shekels to 13 relatives of a woman from a Polish village who died in the Sobibor concentration camp. The money is from property in Bat Yam, south of Tel Aviv, which is being used today for a public building. The woman acquired the land through her brother, who lived in the land of Israel at the time.

Corporation Director-General Yisrael Peleg said the award is the largest ever made to heirs of Holocaust victims.
